In response to the identification of accessibility as one of the major technology issues for 2016, TxDLA is pleased to announce the development of a new Accessibility Certification Program.
"More and more academic intuitions are realizing the need to address accessibility," states Raymond Rose, TxDLA's Public Policy Committee Chair and President of Rose & Smith Associates. Rose, an advocate for accessibility for blended and online learning is one of several committee members and expert presenters for the Certification Program.
"As enforcement and lawsuits increase, institutions have become aware of the need to improve accessibility in online education," Rose emphasizes.
Cost of the program is $975 which includes online course access, a 5-hour pre-conference workshop with lunch, a TxDLA full conference registration, and certificate upon completion, and is limited to 12 participants at this time. Pre-registration is required several weeks prior to the conference as the online portion begins in mid-March.
