What is TxDLA doing for its members in 2014? Check it out!
TxDLA is the largest distance learning organization of its kind in the nation. Among our members are:
- representatives of public and private education institutions at all levels (higher ed and K-12)
- corporate and government training professionals
- distance learning equipment and content providers
- vocational and technical educators
- continuing medical and corporate training professionals
All of our members have a strong interest in keeping abreast of the ideas, technologies, and content that will help them develop and maintain leading-edge distance learning programs and products. Members of this rapidly growing organization have a unique opportunity to actively participate in TxDLA and help determine major areas of focus and future direction. The proactive nature of TxDLA members ensures that you will stay current with what is happening in Texas and uncover ways to explore how to work together. These opportunities flourish at our annual conference, regional group events, and online via MyTxDLA, e-newsletters and statewide announcements.
The organization has an extensive awards program which offers an avenue for prestigious recognition of individuals, institutions, and industry innovations, accomplishments, and commitments toward distance learning. We also have a Distance Learning Hall of Fame and a grant competition. Another annual event is the Fall Leadership Workshop where leaders spend a few days together defining the direction that this great organization will take to lead its large group of professionals as they advance the establishment and growth of distance learning.
We invite you to join and help make a difference in the distance learning community in Texas. Some of the benefits of membership include:
As a member, you are able to take advantage of every benefit listed above and more throughout the year.
